Antony Steel studied Graphic Design at The Johannesburg Art Foundation in 1999. He then worked at MIT for five years where he lead a team of 10 animators working in 3D and 2D.

They produced the first animated TV series on SA television aimed at adult literacy which was character developed and storyboarded by Rapid Phase, the authors of Madam & Eve. Antony & the team also produced various animations for Bank ATMs, Multimedia DVDs, Touchscreen Kiosks and Architectural Visualisation, many of which are still in use today. Antony felt the lure of TV animation production coupled with a stong passion for character development and started his own business in Broacast Animation Production.

Over the following 12 years Antony has had the priviledge of working with great creative minds and leading international brands. Through various partnerships and alliances Antony is still going strong as Firefly Animation's Director and his work continues to beam across the nation, always utilising the latest technology and features 3D animation has to offer combined with Firefly's unique passion and creativity.
