Autodesk Backdraft Conform - Conform Integrated EDl editor
Conform Integrated EDL Editor
Full-featured EDL editor supports industry-standard EDLs and allows you to easily make changes based on events, selections, source, or comments. Robust EDL management tool facilitates the process importing, combining and auto-conforming standard EDLs.
Automatic Batch-Capture from EDL
Efficient batch-capture minimizes time and effort. Automatically digitize the media required to assemble a conformed EDL into a timeline clip.
Media Unlinking and Relinking
The Unlink/Relink tool allows you to quickly disconnect your original clip metadata from the captured media so you can go back and recapture the media at a different resolution or a different version. Tools for efficient offlining and onlining of media are core to the editing process. Media linking enables you to re-link entire projects to new media without having to re-edit your timeline.
Conform from OMF
The OMF interchange format is supported. Import OMF files with audio media to simplify the conform process as audio will not need to be captured. Edit information is maintained including multiple video and audio tracks, dissolves, timecode, tape source, and more. Embedded AIFF-C and WAV audio media is supported. Editors can also export an edited sequence as an OMF file with audio media.
File-based EDL Conform
Use file-based EDLs to conform edits by importing (or soft importing) data files from a standard filesystem. This provides the ability to data-conform, enabling an editor to conform 2K (or greater) film projects directly from film scans residing on a central server. This capability is increasingly important as facilities implement digital intermediate and data-centric workflows.
Conform from AAF
AAF support lets you quickly conform from an Avid® offline. The AAF format contains more data than is available in an EDL. This makes it easier and faster to conform projects that come from Avid offline systems. The amount of manual work required to replicate a complex timeline is greatly reduced, as Backdraft Conform will automatically recreate the timeline with most transitions and effects intact.
Conform From Apple® Final Cut Pro® XML
FCP XML interchange format is supported. You can auto-conform multi-layered, effects-rich Final Cut Pro sequences in Backdraft Conform using the Apple Final Cut Pro XML interchange format.
