High-speed fibre channel storage solutions for real-time access to high-resolution media.High-speed fibre channel storage solutions for real-time access to high-resolution media.
Stone® XR series
Autodesk Stone file system and Autodesk Wire network – perform background Wire transfers, access Stone Direct framestores at up to 4 Gb per second, exchange files, and generate proxies between multiple Autodesk systems faster.
Whether you are working on SD or 2K Film, Autodesk® Stone® Direct Fibre Channel storage solution from Autodesk is the underlying subsystem that provides the high-performance, real-time playback of non-compressed digital media. Designed to deliver fast access to stored media without compromising data integrity, Stone Direct combines high reliability and exceptional performance in a user-friendly solution. Stone Direct brings significant performance and operational advantages to independent creative systems as well as systems configured in a switchable storage environment.
The new Stone Direct XR series provides a flexible, ultra-high performing, cost-effective storage solution. This includes the latest high-density enclosures with support for up to four 4Gb/s Fibre Channel host connections, and dual RAID controllers. In addition, extensible configurations let you choose the amount of storage to fit your production needs.
Stone Direct offers the increased performance, reliability, and data integrity through level 5 hardware RAID. RAID 5 distributes block-level parity information across each of the multiple drives in the array, enabling complete data reconstruction in the event of a disk failure. With Stone Direct implementation of level 5 hardware RAID, facilities experience continued real-time performance with their visual effects or finishing/editing Autodesk® system investments—with the added assurance of efficiency, optimization, reliability, and data integrity.
